About The Position

Runlayer is seeking its first Brand Designer to partner with marketing and product design to define the company's brand presence across all web and in-person surfaces. This role is ideal for a designer who thrives in a startup environment, is comfortable owning decisions, setting high standards, and intentionally building a brand while maintaining a fast pace. The Brand Designer will be responsible for defining, shaping, and launching the Runlayer brand as a cohesive system, collaborating with design and marketing teams to deliver company-wide impact. This position reports to the VP of Marketing.

Requirements

  • Strong creative POV and a proven track record of defining or significantly evolving a brand.
  • Comfortable operating independently in design while being closely integrated with a collaborative marketing team.
  • Possesses strong opinions that are open to feedback, with the judgment to balance speed and attention to detail.
  • Enjoys working across various mediums including web, campaigns, print, events, decks, and motion graphics.
  • Interest in building custom AI tooling to scale brand work.
  • Proficiency in design and presentation tools such as Figma, Paper, and Google Slides.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong collaboration and written communication skills.
  • Capacity to translate a complex technical infrastructure product into clear, compelling visual stories that appeal to a broad audience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead brand execution for Runlayer across marketing, web, events, and sales, balancing foundational system work with high-visibility brand moments.
  • Design sales enablement materials such as decks, one-pagers, and templates.
  • Design marketing materials including OG cards, webpages, social posts, trade show booth designs, and swag.
  • Build generative AI brand tools, templates, and standards to enhance the speed and quality of brand work across the company.
  • Partner closely with product design to foster a cohesive relationship between brand and product, and elevate the overall design craft.
