About The Position

At Ando, we’re rebuilding messaging software for a human-agent collaborative era. It’s not enough for it to just “work” or be at parity with Slack. Ando needs to “feel” like it’s working alongside you - it needs to be fast, beautiful, helpful, and predictive. Ando needs to be good enough for our users to want to spend hours of their days in for their working lives, and convince their friends to do the same. We’re looking for a founding brand designer - you’ll help shape our visual language and work closely alongside our founder to execute on our creative vision. Ando is rethinking communications from the ground up to support better collaboration between humans and agents, as current platforms were not designed for human-AI collaboration.

Requirements

• Strong portfolio - show instead of tell
• High degree of curiosity with new tooling, e.g. Claude Code, Paper, Unicorn, etc

• Being an enthusiastic reference-gathering machine

Responsibilities

• Redesign and expand upon our existing brand materials, e.g. logotype, palette
• Create delight in details
• Pay attention to colors & typography
• Choose and liaison with third party contractors where needed, find world class sound, shader, & illustration talent
• Go from generative, wide-ranging conversations with our founder to deep reference gathering, to execution
• Help drive the core narratives of our company and our users
• Work closely with our product designers
• Use Ando every day
• Touch everything from motion to interaction to sound design
