About The Position

The Branch Teller receives members personally and by telephone, assisting them with general inquiries and financial transactions with the credit union. This role involves handling deposits and withdrawals, receiving cash and checks for various accounts, and issuing/collecting funds for money orders, travelers checks, and cashier's checks. The Teller operates a computer terminal for member information and transactions, balances their cash drawer, summarizes counter activity, and performs related teller duties. Additionally, Tellers may be assigned other qualified tasks during unutilized time to ensure full utilization.

Requirements

Ability to receive members personally and by telephone.
Ability to assist members with deposits and withdrawals.
Ability to receive cash and checks for deposit.
Ability to issue and collect funds for money orders, travelers checks, and cashier’s checks.
Proficiency in operating a teller computer terminal.
Ability to balance cash drawer and summarize counter activity.
Ability to perform related teller duties.
Ability to perform other assigned work if qualified and trained.

Assists members with deposits and withdrawals.
Receives cash and checks for deposit to shares, and share draft accounts, for payment on loans and miscellaneous transactions.
Issues, collects funds and accounts for sale of credit union money orders, travelers checks, and cashier’s checks.
Operates teller computer terminal for member status information, maintenance and/or financial input transactions.
Balances cash drawer and summarizes counter activity.
Applies funds and issues receipts for miscellaneous payments.
Performs related teller duties.
May be assigned other work by management during unutilized time.
