About The Position

Cooper Equipment Rentals is seeking customer-oriented, motivated individuals to join their professional team as a Branch Supervisor. Applicants must currently be residing in Canada and legally entitled to work. This role involves overseeing day-to-day operations, coordinating equipment readiness and delivery, and ensuring smooth processes. The supervisor will work closely with sales and operations teams, manage customer orders, prepare contracts, and address customer inquiries and complaints. They will also be involved in shop and yard organization, inventory management, and promoting safety protocols. Additionally, the role includes supervising and mentoring branch staff, building positive relationships with stakeholders, and demonstrating flexibility in a dynamic work environment. Requirements

  • Valid Class G driver’s license with a clean or satisfactory driver’s abstract (no more than three demerit points).
  • 3+ years of experience in equipment rental coordination, dispatching, service operations or related roles.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Leadership and team management skills; Leads with honesty, earns trust, and always does the right thing — even when no one’s watching.
  • Must be very flexible and able to manage multiple priorities, shifting gears as needed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, and able to stay professional and calm under pressure.
  • Confident using tools like Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety standards and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment for all employees.

Nice To Haves

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent is preferred. Additional education or coursework is an asset.
  • Strong product knowledge of construction equipment is preferred.
  • Understanding of rental fleet management and the construction/equipment rental industry is an asset.
  • PowerBI knowledge is a bonus.
  • Systematics experience is also an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, coordinating all activities from equipment readiness to on-site delivery.
  • Work closely with sales and operations teams to align inventory and service needs.
  • Ensure processes run smoothly, identifying and addressing any issues that could affect service delivery, productivity or safety.
  • Receive and process order requests from customers and sales team.
  • Accurately prepare contracts and provide clear communication on delivery-time to dispatchers.
  • Address questions and clarifications regarding equipment solutions directly with the customer and or sales staff.
  • Work closely with customers and internal teams to address and resolve customer complaints, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
  • Prepare rental and service quotes for internal teams and customers.
  • Support shop and yard organization and inventory management.
  • Promote and enforce safety protocols and compliance standards; ensure that all standards for quality, safety, and compliance are met. Address any issues promptly.
  • Assist with supervision and mentorship of branch staff, promoting a culture of collaboration, accountability, and customer focus.
  • Build and develop positive relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability when dealing with changing priorities, customer needs, or equipment demands in a dynamic work environment.
  • Notify branch manager with any inventory concerns that need to be addressed.
