About The Position

The Branch Sales Manager is a leadership position that oversees branch customer relationships and operational functions to ensure facilities and processes run smoothly. A primary function is managing, leading, and evaluating staff to ensure they achieve their highest level of customer service as well as personal development goals. This position drives growth of the full spectrum of banking services provided by Richwood Bank, from handling consumer products in branch to referring all ancillary services. They are responsible for the procurement of new external relationships, focusing efforts on a list of "Top 100" Prospects. Their goal is to acquire new relationships and strengthen existing customer relationships. It is essential to coordinate the customer relationship with the Lending team as well as branch personnel to ensure success for both the Bank and the customer. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required, college preferred
  • Five years customer service experience required
  • Three years banking experience preferred.
  • Supervisory experience required.
  • Continuous education with products for updated features, new capabilities, install/setup procedures

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the branch management functions
  • Understands Richwood Bank Products and recognizes when opportunities arise for customers to benefit from them.
  • Evaluates the customer's abilities to integrate the products and recommends as appropriate.
  • Communicate with customers concerning onboarding timelines and communicates internally on the CRM process.
  • Completes compliance documentation to protect the bank and customers from risk
  • Participates on volunteer community Board/Boards and Volunteer at bank events.
  • Performs the internal Relationship Building Sales Program (Profit Rich Sales Process).
  • Identify opportunities to interact with customers/prospects that display personal interest in their profession, industry or community
  • Makes retention and sales calls weekly and log them in the CRM
  • Update Funnel and notes in the CRM daily
  • Refer all loan and business product opportunities to the proper departments or officers on any prospects being worked using the CRM
  • Coordinate with team members that best fit the prospects needs for sales calls when needed
  • Work with customer relationship manager on Bid/Agreements (RFPs) when needed.
  • Communicate and connect with the rest of the internal Regional Development Team.
  • Continue to cultivate relations with current Top 100. Advise them of new products as needed and invites to events that pertain to their industry. Go onsite with client to review current relationship portfolio and find efficient ways to add value for their bottom line annually.
  • Make or Update recommendations to Top 100/Top 1000 list monthly with supporting reasons for upgrades and/or downgrade as well as additions and deletions.
  • Attend weekly sales meetings and be ready to present pipeline. Be prepared to discuss wins and lessons learned.
  • If the customer does not fit the Top 100 profile, entrust the follow up to the branch staff to continue the relationship once the accounts have been established.
  • Coordinate with Assistant Branch Managers to manage bank branch staff employees
  • Oversee employee schedules and attendance
  • Inform staff of any information received from Corporate

  • Facilitate all transactions for customers across all financial account types and requests
  • Open accounts and teach customers how to gain the most potential from them
  • Assist new customers in transferring relationship
  • Maintain an accurate balance of cash drawers daily
  • Demonstrate knowledge of all accounts, products and services offered
  • Support customers with all account and service needs
  • Be willing to help customers with additional benefits such as notary, faxing and check orders
  • Stay current on rates for CDs, savings IRAs and interest-bearing checking
  • Listen to customer needs and recommend the best solutions to help them succeed
  • Oversee proof scanning – scanning all transactions daily into the computer
  • Assist team with miscellaneous office support such as inventory of supplies and cookie Friday preparations
  • Provide coverage for additional branches on an as needed basis
  • Implement Business Development strategies

  • Conduct quarterly incentive reviews with staff
  • Lead monthly Professional Development conversations with Staff
  • Open and close the branch while adhering to all bank security procedures
