Branch Sales Associate (Full Time) Macon, GA
About The Position
As a Branch Sales Associate, you provide solutions and connect with walk-in customers through guidance, product knowledge, and a positive attitude. You maximize sales opportunities, build customer loyalty, and exceed customer expectations. The role also involves shifting between customer service and a variety of warehouse tasks. You report to the Store Manager. The anticipated base pay range is $17.31 to $21.64 per hour. The position is based in Macon, Georgia. Grainger describes itself as a broad-line distributor serving customers with maintenance, repair, and operating products and value-added solutions.
Requirements
- Flexibility to work any time within the branch's hours of operation.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and heavier loads with assistance.
- Ability to learn and operate powered industrial equipment.
Responsibilities
- Manage the customer experience, including selecting appropriate products, entering orders accurately, safely picking products, and safely loading customer vehicles.
- Identify ways to maximize sales opportunities and encourage customer loyalty.
- Adapt communication to different audiences when communicating by email, phone, or in person.
- Pick, prepare, and stage will-call orders and shipping products.
- Prepare customer backorders and put away received stock.
- Assist with merchandising and showroom replenishment.
- Perform inventory counts.
- Learn and navigate computer systems used for customer-facing and warehouse activities.
- Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain the branch's appearance according to Grainger standards.
- Follow safety guidelines and process standards, including wearing personal protective equipment.
