About The Position

As a Branch Sales Associate, you provide solutions and connect with walk-in customers using guidance, product knowledge, and a winning attitude. You maximize sales opportunities, build customer loyalty, and exceed customer expectations. The role alternates between assisting customers and completing warehouse tasks, and reports to the Store Manager.

The position is part-time, 20 hours, in Atlanta, Georgia. The anticipated base pay range is $18.85 to $23.56 per hour.

Requirements

• Be flexible to work any time within the branch’s hours of operation.
• Safely lift up to 50 pounds without assistance and heavier loads with assistance.
• Learn and operate powered industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the customer experience, including product selection, accurate order entry, safely picking products, and safely loading customer vehicles.
• Identify ways to maximize sales opportunities and encourage customer loyalty.
• Adapt communication to different audiences by email, phone, and in person.
• Pick, prepare, and stage will-call orders and shipping products.
• Prepare customer backorders and put away received stock.
• Assist with merchandising and showroom replenishment.
• Perform inventory counts.
• Learn and navigate computer systems used for customer-facing and warehouse activities.
• Perform housekeeping to maintain branch appearance according to Grainger standards.
• Follow safety guidelines and process standards, including wearing personal protective equipment.
