About The Position

The Branch Operations Associate supports daily branch operations by providing counter, phone, and electronic customer service while performing warehouse and light production work in a fast-paced, team-oriented industrial distribution environment. The role processes orders and transactions, receives and stocks inventory, builds and quality-checks hose assemblies, and prepares products for customer pickup, local delivery, or shipment. The position requires regular on-site attendance and may involve local driving for pickups and deliveries. Work takes place in a warehouse and branch environment with moving equipment, fluctuating temperatures, and inventory stored in various arrangements. Candidates are subject to pre-employment criminal background checks, drug screening, DMV record review, and reference checks.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Excellent customer service and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people and personalities.
Detail-oriented with solid organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and willingness to learn new software programs.
Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Regular, reliable, and punctual on-site attendance.
Ability to frequently lift up to 70 pounds, stoop, reach above shoulder level, push, pull, and climb ladders as needed; position also involves constantly walking and standing on cement flooring.

Nice To Haves

Epicor Prophet 21 experience is a plus.
Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with industrial or hydraulic hose and fittings preferred; Parker Hannifin experience is a plus.
Forklift certification preferred, or ability to become certified.
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record where driving is required.

Responsibilities

Provide prompt, professional customer service at the counter, by phone, and electronically; respond to inquiries, orders, and complaints using effective problem-solving.
Provide accurate product and basic technical information and develop product knowledge to support customer needs.
Process sales, quotes, and production orders in the system; maintain accurate documentation, item locations, and required paperwork, including invoicing as applicable.
Estimate and communicate order and delivery timelines based on inventory, supplier availability, and production schedules; follow up with customers by phone or email as needed.
Receive, inspect, unload, and verify incoming products; enter received items into the system and stock them in proper locations.
Pull, pick, allocate, and distribute products to fulfill orders; operate an RF scanner as required.
Build hose assemblies and assist with testing and finishing; use applicable tools and machines and perform quality checks before assemblies are released.
Package, label, shrink-wrap, stage, and ship orders using approved methods; ensure shipments are accurate and secure for national carriers or customer pickup.
Support inventory control, including cycle counts, and perform quality control to prevent damaged products from being received or shipped.
Make local pickups and deliveries as assigned and communicate with customers, delivery personnel, and team members to support smooth order and product flow.
Complete required safety and equipment training; operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as needed and in compliance with safety standards.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area and comply with and enforce company rules, safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
