About The Position

North Star Community Credit Union is seeking an experienced, forward-thinking Retail Branch Manager to lead their Minot AFB Branch. This role involves more than just managing daily operations; it requires a leader who develops people, drives results, embraces innovation, and builds meaningful relationships with members and the community. The Branch Manager will lead the overall success of the branch, focusing on team development, member experience, lending growth, operational excellence, and community involvement. They will empower their team, identify growth opportunities, and help meet the financial needs of military members, their families, and the surrounding community.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of leadership experience in banking, credit union, or financial services
• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• NMLS registration within 2 months of hire
• FiCEP certification within 6 months of hire
• Insurance License within 9 months of hire

• Lead branch performance in lending, member service, new accounts, and relationships
• Translate organizational goals into branch action plans

• Identify lending opportunities and support meaningful financial conversations
• Underwrite and approve loans within assigned authority
• Help members find solutions that support their financial goals
• Develop strong relationships with members and community partners
• Represent North Star within the Minot AFB community
• Strengthen member loyalty through exceptional service
• Maintain compliance, security, and strong internal controls
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, reporting, and daily branch operations
• Solve challenges with ownership, sound judgment, and a solutions-focused mindset
