About The Position

North Star Community Credit Union is seeking an experienced, forward-thinking Retail Branch Manager to lead their Minot AFB Branch. This role involves more than just managing daily operations; it requires a leader who develops people, drives results, embraces innovation, and builds meaningful relationships with members and the community. The Branch Manager will lead the overall success of the branch, focusing on team development, member experience, lending growth, operational excellence, and community involvement. They will empower their team, identify growth opportunities, and help meet the financial needs of military members, their families, and the surrounding community.

Requirements

3-5 years of leadership experience in banking, credit union, or financial services.
Associate degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Strong coaching and team-development abilities.
Strategic thinking and goal execution.
Ownership, accountability, and results-driven leadership.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Commitment to integrity, professionalism, and exceptional member service.
NMLS registration within 2 months of hire.
FiCEP certification within 6 months of hire.
Insurance License within 9 months of hire.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop the branch team through coaching, mentoring, and fostering a positive, accountable, member-focused culture.
Drive branch performance in lending, member service, new accounts, and relationships by translating organizational goals into action plans and monitoring results.
Strengthen lending by identifying opportunities, supporting financial conversations, and underwriting/approving loans within assigned authority.
Build relationships and community presence by developing strong connections with members and community partners, representing North Star within the Minot AFB community, and ensuring member loyalty through exceptional service.
Ensure operational excellence by maintaining compliance, security, and strong internal controls, overseeing staffing, scheduling, reporting, and daily branch operations, and solving challenges with ownership and sound judgment.
