The Branch Floater supports Installation, Tarp Fabrication, Packaging, and Shipping by performing hands-on work to manufacture, assemble, package, and ship products accurately, safely, and to quality standards. The position calls for adaptability, teamwork, and attention to detail. Employees progress through Floater I, II, III, and Lead levels based on experience, skills, and leadership ability. Duties vary by department. Installation work includes assembling and installing tarp systems, with opportunities to weld, train, and lead peers as experience grows. Tarp Fabrication work includes measuring, cutting, welding, sewing, assembling, and inspecting tarp materials, using sewing machines, heat welders, and cutting equipment. Packaging work includes accurately packaging and labeling products, operating packaging tools and equipment, preparing shipments using company software, organizing inventory, and following dispatch reports. Shipping work includes preparing and verifying shipments and documents, loading and unloading trucks, wrapping and bundling tubing, and packaging parts to meet specifications and carrier requirements. Floater I employees demonstrate tool and equipment competency and complete basic tasks in one or more departments. Floater II employees meet Level I requirements and demonstrate proficiency in multiple departmental tasks; they may assist with training peers. Installation roles require welding and intermediate equipment-operation proficiency at this level. Floater III employees meet Levels I and II requirements, work independently across multiple departmental tasks, train and guide peers, make sound decisions, and communicate and collaborate effectively without supervision. The Lead position requires meeting all three prior levels, showing potential for leadership, possessing at least four listed leadership skills, and being able and willing to cross-train department and new employees. Employees are expected to be dependable and punctual, complete assigned work accurately, maintain a clean and organized work area, follow company policies and procedures, and collaborate to support productivity and operational efficiency. The role also requires following safety protocols, identifying potential hazards, and contributing to quality assurance and continuous improvement. Other related duties may be assigned to meet organizational needs. Reasonable accommodations may be made for qualified individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
