About The Position

The Brake Press Operator will work alongside the brake press team at QuikCut, forming a wide variety of products. This role requires the ability to shape, bend, and manipulate sheets of steel, aluminum, and stainless-steel plates. Operators must meet high expectations and standards, providing quality work while completing forming projects efficiently.

Requirements

Ability to efficiently read blueprints and drawings.
Ability to read and take measurements.
Ability to program the machine.
Ability to measure the final product for uniformity.
Ability to restock materials or stack completed materials.
Ability to perform routine maintenance and log it.
Ability to operate a brake press.
Ability to inspect products for quality compliance.
Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area.
Prolonged periods of standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying materials.
Must be able to lift 25 – 90 pounds at a time.

Responsibilities

Efficiently read blueprints and drawings from designers and engineers.
Read and take measurements to plan layout and procedures.
Program the machine to fit the design.
Measure the final product to ensure uniformity according to the blueprint.
Restock materials needing to be formed, or stack completed materials in the appropriate area.
Perform routine maintenance on the machine and log it.
Operate a brake press to manufacture tools, equipment, and other components from sheet metal or metal plates.
Inspect products, evaluating finished pieces for compliance with quality standards and specifications.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Other duties as assigned.
