About The Position

American Products is seeking a dependable, motivated Brake Press Operator – Class B for its manufacturing team in Strafford, Missouri. The operator uses brake press equipment to bend and form metal components according to production specifications. Training is provided for candidates who are eager to learn and grow within the department. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 3:30 PM to 1:30 AM. Pay is $21.00–$22.00 per hour, plus a $2.00-per-hour shift differential.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Basic mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Ability to learn blueprint reading and technical drawings; training is provided.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Basic math and measurement skills preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic are required.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequently use hands and arms to handle materials and equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Required close, distance, color, and depth vision.

• Manufacturing or brake press experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate brake press machines to bend, form, and shape metal parts.
• Read and follow blueprints, work orders, and production instructions.
• Load and unload materials, ensuring proper alignment and positioning.
• Inspect finished parts to verify quality and specifications.
• Make machine adjustments as needed to maintain product quality.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning.
• Record production information accurately.
• Follow safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.
