The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking a Brain Injury Care Monitor to ensure appropriate services are provided to adults with Brain Injuries and approve individual service plans. This role also assures members for the Sections 18 waiver program meet the requisite level of care, reviews and acts upon prior authorization requests, collaborates with service providers to assist with overcoming identified problems, reviews/analyzes documents such as care plans, case plans, and behavior plans, discusses and documents progress and difficulties with the individual and their team, and monitors service settings to ensure compliance with HCBS (Home and Community Based Standards). The successful applicant needs to possess or quickly develop knowledge of applicable MaineCare policy, demonstrate a high level of critical thinking and customer service skills, and exhibit excellent communication skills, being comfortable working with varied stakeholder groups.
