The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking a Brain Injury Care Monitor. This full-time position is located in Augusta and allows for partial telework with management approval. The role involves ensuring appropriate services are provided to adults with Brain Injuries, approving individual service plans, and assuring members for the Sections 18 waiver program meet the requisite level of care. The successful applicant will review and act upon prior authorization requests, collaborate with service providers to overcome identified problems, and review/analyze documents such as care plans, case plans, and behavior plans. They will also discuss and document progress and difficulties with the individual and their team, and monitor service settings to ensure compliance with HCBS (Home and Community Based Standards). Knowledge of applicable MaineCare policy is required, along with a high level of critical thinking, customer service, and excellent communication skills for working with varied stakeholder groups.
