About The Position

The Braider Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and efficient operation of braiding equipment to support production needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read and understand basic mechanical diagrams, manuals, or instructions
  • Ability to record and document data appropriately
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, moving machinery, oils, and lubricants
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain compliance with company standards
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend at the knees and at waist level, twist, stoop, crouch, reach with a singular or both arms/hands above shoulder level, and at shoulder level, perform repetitive arm/hand movements and grasp singular or with both hands frequently
  • Ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 80 lbs. occasionally
  • Ability to climb occasionally
  • Ability to wear and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE) is an essential function of this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical repair, or a related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on braider machines, including oiling, greasing, and routine inspections
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues to ensure proper machine operation and minimize downtime
  • Repair and rebuild braider equipment including replacement of mechanical components
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation for all braider equipment
  • Monitor machine performance and identify potential issues before they impact production
  • Maintain inventory of necessary lubricants, parts, and supplies required for ongoing maintenance
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and production personnel regarding equipment status and repair needs
  • Safely operate tools and equipment necessary to complete maintenance and repair tasks
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
