About The Position

US Synthetic has an immediate need for a Brady Mining CNC Finishing Operator located in Orem, UT. The Brady Mining CNC Finishing Operator will operate and maintain a computer numerical control (CNC) lathe/mill for the production of Brady Mining tools. Assemble and braze components, manufacture product to exact specifications and maintain production and training records. Perform continuous process improvements per company standard.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED is required

Stand for long periods of time - up to 10 hours
Perform repetitive motions
Occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 lbs.
Full range of body motion (lifting, kneeling, squatting and twisting)
Use of Safety Equipment (Safety glasses, Latex/nitrile gloves, Respirator, Steel-toed boots)

Minimum one year at US Synthetic
Basic math skills
Bonding experience

Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, gauges and electronic indicators, etc.

Responsibilities

Assemble and braze product to print and customer specifications
Set up and run the CNC lathe/mill
Inspect the finished product for compliance to specifications
Change over the CNC tooling
Troubleshoot CNC divergence from specification
Perform continuous process improvements
Report departmental performance measures
Other duties as assigned
