About The Position
Newton Community School District is seeking a Boys Varsity Assistant Basketball Coach for the 2026-2027 school year. This position is part of the Athletics/Activities/Coaching department at Newton High School. The coaching role is scheduled to begin in November 2026.
Requirements
- Valid coaching endorsement or coaching authorization issued by the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners.
- Iowa BOEE Coaching Certificate.
- Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter Certificate.
- Coaching Transcripts.
Responsibilities
- Assist the head coach with the boys varsity basketball program.
- Ensure all coaching requirements and certifications are met.
- Adhere to the district's non-discrimination policy in all practices and interactions.
