About The Position

Join one of the top high school golf programs in Washington. The Bush School is seeking a JV Head Coach to help continue the momentum of a program that is coming off a State Championship and consecutive Emerald Sound Conference titles. With a talented group of returning athletes and a strong pipeline of developing players, this is an outstanding opportunity to make an immediate impact. We are seeking a candidate who is able to support the school’s goals towards building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive community. We believe that a diversity of experiences, backgrounds, and talents are necessary to work with a diverse community of students, faculty, staff, and families; we encourage diversity in our applicant pool. Under the direction of the Boys Varsity Golf Head Coach, the JV Head Coach oversees all aspects of the Boys JV Golf program at The Bush School, a member of the competitive Emerald Sound Conference. Working collaboratively with the Assistant Coach, Varsity coaching staff, and Athletic Department team, the JV Head Coach is responsible for planning and leading team practices, coaching all scheduled competitions, assisting with the management of team equipment and gear, and transporting student-athletes to away contests and off-site practices using a school vehicle. This position reports directly to the Athletic Director. The Bush School athletic program works within the rules of the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) and the Emerald Sound Conference to provide athletic opportunities and competition for students of all gender identities. While most sports are offered separately for boys and girls, the Athletic Department staff is committed to working collaboratively with each participant to determine options that best suit each student-athlete’s journey. The season begins on Monday, August 24, 2026, and continues through mid-October. Practices are held Monday through Friday between 3:45 and 6:30 p.m. (no longer than two hours per day) at local golf courses and The Bush School campus.
