About The Position

American Heritage School is seeking a Boys High School Volleyball Assistant Coach who is passionate about volleyball and helping students grow physically, spiritually, socially, and intellectually. This seasonal-stipend role is considered faith-forming and includes assisting with leadership of the boys volleyball team while upholding the school’s mission and standards.

The coach is expected to actively support, model, and teach principles consistent with American Heritage School’s mission and values and the teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The successful candidate will integrate faith-based principles and moral reasoning into athletics where appropriate, demonstrate Christian character and discipleship, support the school’s spiritual mission in interactions with students and colleagues, and respond thoughtfully to students’ questions about faith, values, and moral decision-making.

Candidates are expected to be professional in appearance and demeanor and to represent the school’s Mission, Honor Code, and Diversity Statement on and off campus. Personal conduct, public statements, and online presence are expected to reflect and support the school’s religious mission and educational purpose. Requirements

• Volleyball background and experience with volleyball.
• Experience coaching.
• Enduring love of youth and genuine passion for teaching and learning.
• Ability to use sports to build better disciples of Jesus Christ and Christian character.
• Commitment to actively participate in and contribute to a faith-based educational environment aligned with the teachings and values of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
• Strong communication and management skills.
• Willingness and ability to support the school’s religious mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Assist in leading the boys high school volleyball team.
• Uphold the mission and standards of American Heritage School.
