About The Position

American Heritage School is seeking a Boys High School Volleyball Assistant Coach who is passionate about volleyball and helping students grow physically, spiritually, socially, and intellectually. This is a faith-forming role at a mission-driven, faith-centered private school aligned with the teachings and values of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The coach is expected to actively support, model, and teach principles consistent with the school's mission and values. Compensation is a seasonal stipend.

Requirements

• Experience with volleyball.
• Experience coaching.
• An enduring love of youth and a genuine passion for teaching and learning.
• Ability to use sports as a tool to build better disciples of Jesus Christ and Christian character.
• Commitment to actively participate in and contribute to a faith-based educational environment aligned with the teachings and values of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
• Strong communication and management skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Personal conduct, public statements, and online presence on and off campus are expected to reflect and support the school's religious mission and educational purpose.

Responsibilities

• Lead the boys volleyball team as assistant coach.
• Uphold the mission and standards of American Heritage School.
• Integrate faith-based principles and moral reasoning into the athletics program where appropriate.
• Serve as an example of Christian character and discipleship to students.
• Support and uphold the school's spiritual mission through daily interactions with students and colleagues.
• Respond thoughtfully to student questions related to faith, values, and moral decision-making in a manner consistent with the school's mission.
• Serve as an ambassador for the AHS Mission, Honor Code, and Diversity Statement on and off campus.
