About The Position

Caruso is a family-owned, 4th-generation company that delivers fresh ready-to-eat and pre-cut produce, sandwiches, salads, and fresh meal kits to retail distribution centers and direct-to-retail stores across the USA. We are looking for experienced Box Truck Drivers for local routes. The Delivery Driver is responsible for making deliveries to area customers, starting shifts between 8 PM and 11 PM or 12 PM and 4 PM. The Route Driver is the face of the company and must always project a professional and positive image of Caruso while maintaining and building excellent customer relationships. This person is responsible for the safe operation of a motor vehicle and safely picking up and dropping off items to customers to ensure an excellent service experience. This person must maintain compliance with all company policies/procedures and DOT regulations.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must have at least 12 months of verifiable 16ft-26ft box truck driving experience in the last 3 years.
A good driving record including none of the following: Reckless driving, DUI/OMVI, Hit and Run, Excessive Speed as defined by DOT (15+ miles over).
No preventable accidents.
No more than two moving violations within the last 24 months.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Ability to work and drive in all types of weather.
Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Excellent and prompt attendance each day scheduled.

Responsibilities

Operate a company-provided CMV.
Deliver products to customers in a safe, courteous, and timely manner.
Follow routes and time schedules.
Load, unload, and deliver according to customer specifications and obtain required customer sign-offs.
Establish and maintain outstanding relationships with customers.
Review and verify invoices and purchase requests for accuracy.
Complete DVIRs (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report).
Follow safety and lifting protocols during deliveries.
Maintain delivery logs and records.
Follow DOT regulations and safety standards.
