About The Position

Caruso is a family-owned, 4th-generation company that delivers fresh ready-to-eat and pre-cut produce, sandwiches, salads, and fresh meal kits to retail distribution centers and direct-to-retail stores across the USA. We are seeking experienced Box Truck Drivers for local routes. The Delivery Driver is responsible for making deliveries to area customers, with shifts starting between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM. Weekend rotation is required.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must be able to work 3rd shift.
Must have at least 12 months of verifiable 18ft-26ft box truck driving experience in the last 3 years.
Possess a good driving record with no reckless driving, DUI/OMVI, hit and run, excessive speeding (15+ mph over), preventable accidents, or more than two moving violations in the last 24 months.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Ability to work and drive in all types of weather.
Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Excellent and prompt attendance on scheduled days.

Nice To Haves

Experience with local routes.

Responsibilities

Operate a company-provided CMV.
Deliver products to customers safely, courteously, and in a timely manner.
Follow routes and time schedules.
Load, unload, and deliver according to customer specifications and obtain required customer sign-offs.
Establish and maintain outstanding relationships with customers.
Review and verify invoices and purchase requests for accuracy.
Complete DVIRs (Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports).
Follow safety and lifting protocols during deliveries.
Maintain delivery logs and records.
Adhere to DOT regulations and safety standards.
