About The Position

Parts Authority, LLC is hiring a Box Truck Driver in Pompano Beach, Florida. This is an overnight driving role with a stated schedule of 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. on rotating weekdays. The hourly rate is $20. Drivers represent the company in daily interactions with customers and are expected to provide courteous service while making safe, timely deliveries. The role also includes delivery-related payment and reporting tasks, vehicle checks when applicable, and other store or warehouse duties as assigned. Parts Authority is a national distributor of automotive replacement parts, tools, equipment, and transmissions. The company describes opportunities for career advancement and job stability. The position requires at least one year of verifiable Class C bobtail truck driving experience, a current DOT medical certification, a valid driver’s license, and compliance with company insurance requirements. Drivers must be at least 21 years old and able to work weekends.

Requirements

Current, valid driver’s license.
At least one year of verifiable Class C bobtail truck driving experience.
Current DOT medical certification.
Must meet company insurance requirements; drivers must be at least 21 years old.
Current valid automobile insurance with the applicant’s name on the policy.
Able to work weekends.
Able to lift, move, push, and pull up to 50 pounds; prolonged sitting is required. Auto body parts collision drivers must be able to lift 75 pounds.
Ability to manage, track, and account for money transactions and reconcile customer credit and debt balances.
Ability to use a tablet and/or mobile device for navigation, route optimization, tracking, customer interface, and signature capture.
Exceptional customer service and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with tact and diplomacy.
Ability to take and follow directions and work well with others as part of a team.
Knowledge of principles and methods for moving freight and materials.
Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies for complying with local, state, and national laws.
Knowledge of applicable laws and EPA, DOT, and OSHA regulations.
Ability to identify potential safety risks in advance.

Nice To Haves

Previous delivery driving experience is a plus.
Flexible schedule and ability to work overtime as needed are preferred.

Responsibilities

Load, transport, and deliver items to customers or businesses in a timely, friendly, and courteous manner.
Review orders before and after delivery to confirm completeness and correct charges and to ensure customer satisfaction.
Monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure the bobtail truck is operating properly.
Follow dispatcher directions, assigned routes, schedules, and navigation guidance; use alternative routes and local knowledge when needed to make timely deliveries.
Assist with loading and unloading items without disrupting operations at customers’ places of business.
Provide customer service, answer questions, and professionally handle complaints and concerns.
Comply with transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
Accept payments and prepare reports, including invoices and return forms; reconcile customer debt and credit and money collected for deliveries.
When applicable, perform daily maintenance checks on the company delivery vehicle and notify a manager of issues.
Assist with other store and warehouse duties, such as stocking and pulling parts, as assigned.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Maintain and promote workplace safety.
Secure and transfer cash or other assets.
