About The Position

The Route Driver ensures the timely and safe delivery of goods to various locations while providing customer service and representing the company on the road. The role follows scheduled routes and complies with traffic regulations and safety protocols. Drivers also handle and care for the vehicle, keeping it maintained and ready for daily operations. The role contributes to the efficiency and reputation of the company’s logistics and transportation services.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role.
• Strong driving abilities and thorough understanding of vehicle operation.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and dispatchers.
• Time management skills to adhere to schedules while working efficiently.
• Attention to detail for documenting deliveries and conducting vehicle inspections.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with GPS and route-planning software.
• Experience in customer service or client-facing roles.
• Knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate a delivery vehicle to transport parts to designated customer locations according to a pre-planned route.
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring items are secured and handled with care. Lifting up to 50 lbs. may be required, as may the use of equipment for heavier lifting, pulling, or pushing.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery confirmations.
• Communicate with dispatchers, the sales team, and customers about delivery schedules and potential delays.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues to support safety and compliance.
