About The Position

Meyer is seeking an experienced Box Truck Driver to drive company trucks on customer delivery routes and complete required paperwork. The role works closely with internal departments to ensure products are delivered promptly and in compliance with DOT regulations. The company describes itself as growing, family-owned and operated, and offers advancement opportunities. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; end times vary on most days depending on workload and coverage. The stated pay is $20. Drivers may also qualify for a quarterly driver safety bonus.

Requirements

1–3 years of previous experience driving 26–28-foot box trucks or another commercial motor vehicle over 10,001 pounds.
Valid truck driver license and the relevant endorsement for the specific state.
Willingness to submit to drug screens and background checks.
Maintain a valid DOT medical examiner’s card.
No recent moving or driving violations and ability to remain insurable at the standard insurance market rate.
Ability to operate or drive a forklift.

Responsibilities

Drive company trucks on customer delivery routes and meet delivery schedules.
Maneuver trucks into position for loading and unloading.
Follow truck-driving rules and regulations.
Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and safety concerns, and perform preventative maintenance.
Report vehicle defects, accidents, and violations.
Complete paperwork required by the company and DOT regulations.
Communicate with Fleet Management about maintenance issues and preventative maintenance for delivery trucks.
Operate or drive a forklift.
Perform heavy lifting of 75 pounds or more.
