About The Position

The Box Truck Driver ensures safe, on-time delivery of products from Gopuff’s Distribution Center to multiple locations across the local network. The role involves daily local, multi-stop routes from the DC to Micro-fulfillment Centers, loading and unloading goods at each stop, and handling pickups, transfers, and returns as needed. Drivers operate a non-CDL box truck under 26,001 lbs GVWR and return home every night.

The position requires reliable, safety-focused work throughout the scheduled shifts, including physical handling of products and use of routing and proof-of-delivery technology. The schedule is Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, with availability from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; a CDL is not required.
• At least 2 years of professional box truck or straight truck driving experience.
• Pass an MVR review, background check, and drug screen.
• Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet, bending and climbing in and out of the truck throughout the shift.
• Comfort using GPS and a handheld device or phone app for routing and proof of delivery.
• Availability for the Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday schedule, 7 a.m.–5 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a non-CDL box truck under 26,001 lbs GVWR on daily local routes with multiple stops.
• Load the truck at the Distribution Center and unload products at each stop by hand, using a hand truck, or using a pallet jack.
• Verify product counts against delivery paperwork and capture proof of delivery at every stop.
• Follow assigned routes and delivery windows, and communicate delays or issues to the Transportation team in real time.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety issues.
• Secure and protect products in transit to prevent damage and shrink.
• Keep the truck clean, organized, and ready for the next shift.
• Represent Gopuff professionally with site teams at every location.
• Perform pickups, transfers, and returns as needed.
