About The Position

Planet Aid is a mission-driven organization that collects and recycles used textiles to protect the environment and support sustainable development in communities around the world. The Box Truck Driver operates a box truck up to 20 feet long to collect and transport donated textiles, helping ensure donations are picked up efficiently and delivered safely. This position works four 10-hour shifts per week, with Saturdays required. Pay is $23 per hour plus a bonus, averaging $25 per hour with the bonus. Pay is weekly. After three months, the employee stays on the bonus and receives $1,000.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of box truck or similar driving experience.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to pass a drug screening, background check, and DOT physical.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and loading, and to work outdoors.

Responsibilities

Safely operate box trucks on assigned local routes.
Service donation bins by collecting donations and cleaning and maintaining sites.
Load and transport donated materials to designated locations.
Follow safety procedures and driving regulations.
Perform basic vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues.
Communicate route, site, or safety concerns in a timely manner.
Ensure daily routes are completed accurately and on time.
