About The Position

Parts Authority is hiring a Box Truck Driver in Pompano Beach, Florida. The role delivers automotive parts to customers and businesses and represents the company in daily customer interactions. The position has an overnight schedule of 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. on rotating weekdays, and requires a minimum of one year of bobtail truck driving experience and current DOT medical certification. The hourly rate is $20.00. Drivers must be able to work weekends and meet the company’s insurance requirements, including being at least 21 years old. Requirements

Current, valid driver's license.
Minimum of one year of verifiable Class C bobtail truck driving experience.
Current DOT medical certification.
Must meet company insurance requirements; drivers must be at least 21 years old.
Current valid automobile insurance with the driver's name on the policy.
Able to work weekends.
Ability to lift, move, push, and pull up to 50 pounds; prolonged sitting is required. Auto body parts collision drivers must be able to lift 75 pounds.
Ability to manage, track, and account for money transactions and reconcile customer credit and debt balances.
Ability to use a tablet and/or mobile device for navigation, route optimization, tracking, and customer interface or signature capture.
Exceptional customer service and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally, tactfully, and diplomatically.
Ability to take and follow directions and work well with others as part of a team.
Knowledge of principles and methods for moving freight and materials.
Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies, as well as applicable local, state, and national laws.
Knowledge of EPA, DOT, and OSHA regulations.
Ability to identify potential safety risks ahead of time.

Flexible schedule and ability to work overtime as needed preferred.
Previous delivery driving experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Load, transport, and deliver items to customers or businesses in a timely, friendly, and courteous manner.
Review orders before and after delivery to confirm completeness and correct charges and ensure customer satisfaction.
Monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure the bobtail truck is operating properly.
Follow dispatcher directions, assigned routes, and schedules; use navigation apps, alternate routes when needed, and local-area knowledge to deliver on time.
Assist with loading and unloading items without interfering with operations at customer locations.
Provide customer service, answer questions, and professionally handle complaints and concerns.
Follow transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
Accept payments and prepare reports, including invoices and return forms; reconcile debts, credits, and money collected for deliveries.
When applicable, complete daily maintenance checks on the delivery vehicle and notify a manager of issues.
Assist with other store or warehouse duties as assigned, including stocking and parts pulling.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Maintain and promote workplace safety.
Secure and transfer cash or other assets.
