Box Truck Driver (No CDL Required)

RWB Thrift•Gretna, LA

About The Position

The Driver operates a box truck to collect donated items—including small furniture, household goods, clothing, and other miscellaneous items—from donors and transport them to the Company’s warehouse or designated locations. The role involves professional, courteous interactions with donors, safely lifting and loading items, and accurately recording donation and donor details. Drivers help advance the organization’s mission by collecting donations that are converted into funds for charitable partners. The position requires a dependable, organized person with strong communication and interpersonal skills and a commitment to customer service. The work environment is consistently busy and noisy, with bright lighting throughout the front and back of the store. The role includes regular interactions with customers, donors, and coworkers, and employees may be asked to switch tasks or work in different areas as operational needs require. Work may take place in all weather conditions and involve exposure to unpleasant odors, hazardous materials, or potentially dangerous situations. English is not required exclusively in the workplace, but employees need a fundamental understanding of written and spoken English to follow instructions, read street signs, and communicate verbally and in writing in situations involving people who primarily use English.
