About The Position

Caruso is a family-owned, fourth-generation company that delivers fresh ready-to-eat and pre-cut produce, sandwiches, salads, and fresh meal kits to retail distribution centers and direct-to-retail stores across the USA. The Route Driver represents Caruso Logistics to customers and is expected to maintain a professional, courteous, and positive image. The role involves safely operating a company vehicle, completing timely pickups and deliveries, providing excellent customer service, and following company policies, procedures, safety standards, and applicable DOT regulations. This position serves local routes, with deliveries beginning between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to work third shift.
• Must have at least 12 months of verifiable 18- to 26-foot box truck driving experience within the last 3 years.
• Must maintain a good driving record, with no reckless driving, DUI/OMVI, hit-and-run, or excessive speeding (15 or more mph over the posted limit, as defined by DOT).
• Must have no preventable accidents.
• Must have no more than two moving violations within the last 24 months.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work and drive in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to rotate weekends.

Responsibilities

• Safely and responsibly operate a company-provided commercial motor vehicle.
• Follow assigned routes and delivery schedules.
• Complete Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs) as required.
• Follow DOT regulations, safety standards, and company safety procedures.
• Deliver products safely, courteously, and on time.
• Load, unload, and deliver products according to customer specifications.
• Obtain required customer signoffs and maintain accurate delivery documentation.
• Build and maintain customer relationships through professional service.
• Review and verify invoices and purchase requests for accuracy.
• Maintain required delivery logs, records, and documentation.
• Use proper lifting techniques and follow safety protocols during deliveries.
