26FT BOX TRUCK DRIVER - Non CDL
About The Position
Daniels Health & Sharpsmart is hiring a non-CDL driver to operate a box truck of up to 26 feet in the Shakopee, Minnesota area. The driver collects, delivers, and stores sharps and medical waste containers at healthcare customer locations, while providing strong customer service and building positive customer relationships. The role requires safe vehicle operation, timely deliveries, loading and unloading, and route organization. Drivers follow leadership’s route direction and comply with DOT requirements, including logging hours and roadside inspections. The work involves heavy lifting. This is a permanent, full-time position for 40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday from approximately 5 a.m. until the route is finished. Overtime opportunities are available. The stated pay is a set rate of $27 per hour. New hires are eligible for a $3,000 sign-on bonus: $1,000 after 30 days of employment and $2,000 after 90 days. Full-time employees receive benefits, sick leave, and vacation leave from day one.
Requirements
- Delivery experience operating a 26-foot box truck.
- Driving experience in an industry involving manual handling.
- Experience conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations.
- Clean driving record.
- Valid DOT medical card.
- Flexible, can-do attitude and strong customer focus.
- Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, and roadside inspections.
- Confidence with Level 1 through Level 3 road checks.
- Proven longevity in past employment.
- On-time delivery practices.
Responsibilities
- Safely collect, deliver, and store medical waste containers at customer locations.

- Complete deliveries on schedule and clearly communicate changes or challenges.
- Load and unload containers.
- Prioritize and organize the truck according to the schedule and service needs.
- Manage the route according to leadership’s direction and provide timely, efficient, and effective service.
- Comply with DOT regulations, log hours, and complete roadside inspections.
