About The Position

A Box Truck Driver safely operates a box truck to transport and deliver goods to customers, businesses, and designated locations on assigned local and regional routes. Delivery services may include bringing products inside customers’ homes, ranging from front-door drop-offs to white-glove service that includes placing items in the room of choice and assembling products. The driver loads, unloads, and secures cargo; verifies orders and freight; completes delivery and vehicle documentation; and provides professional customer service. Drivers may also assist with warehouse, material-handling, or loading duties when required. The position requires compliance with traffic laws, DOT regulations, company policies, applicable OSHA and TSA requirements, and customer-site safety rules. Employees must promptly report accidents, injuries, unsafe conditions, equipment or cargo damage, and regulatory concerns. Additional responsibilities or support for other operational areas may be required based on business needs. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with Saturdays when needed, starting at 10 a.m. Pay is $25.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license (REAL ID) and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to read maps, use navigation tools, and maintain general geographic awareness.
• Ability to accurately complete delivery documentation and operational records.
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work overtime and flexible schedules when required.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
• Must be able to pass federal background checks for access to military and government facilities.
• Ability to lift and move products weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted and safely load, unload, and secure freight.

Nice To Haves

• Previous box truck, delivery, or commercial driving experience preferred.
• Basic hand tool usage and assembly skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a box truck on assigned local and regional routes.
• Pick up and deliver products, packages, equipment, or materials according to assigned routes and schedules.
• Load, unload, and secure cargo to prevent shifting, loss, or damage during transit.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance or safety issues.
• Follow applicable traffic laws, DOT regulations, company policies, and customer-site requirements.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, receipts, inspection documents, and other required paperwork.
• Communicate professionally with customers, dispatchers, warehouse personnel, and leadership about deliveries, delays, route changes, and vehicle issues.
• Verify orders, freight condition, and delivery quantities before completing deliveries.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional vehicle and work area.
• Assist with warehouse, material-handling, or loading duties when required.
• Use basic hand tools and perform product assembly as needed.
• Immediately report accidents, injuries, unsafe conditions, equipment damage, cargo damage, and regulatory concerns.
