Warehouse General Labor - Box Sorter - Day Shift C
About The Position
As a Box Sorter, you are a key part of the logistics team, manually inspecting and sorting materials to meet Propak standards and production goals. You will evaluate incoming boxes for quality and prepare acceptable boxes for reuse through precise palletization and labeling. This is a fast-paced warehouse role where productivity directly impacts pay. No prior experience is necessary, and comprehensive training is provided. The starting pay is $15.00 per hour. Guaranteed increases of $0.50 per hour are provided at 90 days, one year, and annually thereafter, reaching the maximum rate after five years in the role. The schedule is Shift C: Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday from 4:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The employee primarily works in a warehouse and may encounter dust, hot or cold temperatures, and moderate to high noise levels. Steel-toed boots and other personal protective equipment are required.
Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for eight or more hours a day.
- Ability to frequently perform repetitive movements, including squatting, bending, and twisting.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and lift for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Ability to repeatedly handle, lift, and move boxes of varying sizes and weights.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for breaking down, inspecting, and stickering boxes.
- Ability to hear and understand verbal instructions and safety alarms in a warehouse environment.
- Good vision for inspecting boxes and performing sorting tasks accurately.
- Ability to accurately hand-sort and palletize boxes by size while checking them for damage or suitability for reuse.
- Dependability, trustworthiness, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to identify and follow safety requirements and company policies in a fast-paced environment.
- No prior experience is necessary; comprehensive training is provided.

- Previous experience in manual labor or a similar physically demanding role is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Break down boxes that have not already been broken down.
- Inspect boxes for damage and suitability for reuse.
- Apply stickers to boxes acceptable for reuse, covering their barcodes.
- Palletize boxes by size.
- Meet or exceed daily production requirements, with a standard goal of at least one pallet per hour.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area throughout the shift.
- Comply with Propak policies and procedures and federal and state safety rules.
- Assist with other duties as assigned to support and improve team operations.
