About The Position

The Box Office Representative serves as a front‑facing ambassador for the Performing Arts Center, providing exceptional customer service while supporting all ticketing and box office operations. This role is responsible for assisting patrons with ticket purchases, will call, exchanges, and event-day inquiries while ensuring accuracy in all transactions. Box Office Representatives play a key role in creating positive guest experiences and contributing to smooth, efficient event operations.

  • Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to follow established procedures
  • Comfortable using point‑of‑sale or ticketing systems
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on performance schedules

Responsibilities

  • Sell tickets for live performances and events using the venue’s ticketing system
  • Assist patrons with will call, ticket pickup, seat inquiries, exchanges, and refunds as directed
  • Provide accurate information regarding events, seating, pricing, and venue policies
  • Process cash, credit card, and digital payments accurately and securely
  • Reconcile transactions and follow established cash‑handling and settlement procedures
  • Support night‑of‑show box office operations, including peak sales periods
  • Address basic guest questions or concerns and escalate issues when needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional box office environment
  • Follow all ticketing, accessibility, privacy, and compliance guidelines
  • Collaborate with the Box Office Manager and venue operations staff to ensure smooth event execution
