About The Position

The Box Office Attendant is to provide great customer service while taking and processing incoming ticket sales in an accurate and reliable manner. This position pays an hourly rate of $14.81. Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matching. Also, OVG provides part-time, seasonal, and internship employees with one hour of accrued paid leave per 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours per year. This position will remain open until November 20, 2026.

Requirements

  • Have excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude.
  • Strong communication skills with particular attention to detail is a must.
  • Proficient computer skills, including working on Windows-based computers and the internet.
  • Ability to work independently when needed but still be a part of the overall team atmosphere, helping co-workers and managers as required.
  • Ability to handle customer concerns/questions/comments in a timely and positive manner.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule – nights and weekends required.
  • Multi-task under time constraints while performing job duties.
  • Must have a strong attention to detail and accuracy, including following simple to complex instructions.
  • Experience with handling cash and credit cards.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are necessary.
  • Able to handle periods of prolonged standing, withstanding hot and cold weather temperatures, and medium to high levels of noise during events are often expected.

  • Box office experience is helpful, but not necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Handle all aspects of taking and processing incoming ticket sales from customers at the window
  • Help maintain ticketing database in an accurate and reliable manner
  • Smile, greet customers, and answer questions about Blue Arena
  • Assist managers in requested tasks, including but not limited to light filing, cleaning, and organizing
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Communicate in a clear and detailed manner, collaborating with peers, and recognizing conflicts while providing the best resolution.
  • Operate a computer and other office devices, such as telephones, copy machines, fax machines, etc.
  • Move about the office to access storage areas, cabinets, and office machinery.
  • Move around the arena and event sites before, during, and after events to service clients.
  • Communicates in-person with others to exchange accurate information.
