This role involves selling theater tickets either over the phone or in person at the box office window. Responsibilities include receiving payments, issuing receipts, refunds, credits, or change, and managing the bank at the beginning and end of each shift, securing it in a safe deposit box. The attendant will balance daily work, drop receipts, and make daily deposits. They will also answer customer questions regarding theater policies, procedures, ticket prices, and specials, and establish ticket prices and tabulate bills. Additionally, mail-in and phoned-in ticket orders will be entered into the computer, and box office personnel will be alerted when supplies are low. Inventory of necessary supplies is also part of the role, as is serving as a bank balance witness for other attendants. The position also requires adherence to all company safety and security policies, reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions, and protecting the privacy and security of guests and coworkers. The attendant must welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate and address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Communication skills are important, including speaking clearly and professionally, preparing and reviewing written documents accurately, and answering telephones with appropriate etiquette. Physical requirements include moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Developing and maintaining positive working relationships and supporting team goals are also key. Other reasonable job duties may be requested by Supervisors.
