About The Position

Digital Room is hiring a Box Machine Operator for its plant in Solon, Ohio. The role supports the Packing/Shipping department by operating box-making equipment, preparing shipments for UPS and FedEx, processing leftover box-on-demand material, and completing other department needs. The position has listed 1st- and 3rd-shift schedules: Monday through Friday, 5:45 AM to 2:15 PM, or Sunday through Thursday, 9:45 PM to 6:15 AM.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of packing experience in a warehouse setting.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
• Ability to multitask as priorities change.
• Ability to recognize safety issues and take corrective actions.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Make all styles of boxes for products using the box-on-demand machine.
• Measure and weigh products to select the most economical shipping box.
• Reload the machine with fanfold material and troubleshoot machine problems and jams.
• Verify that shipping boxes on skids are assigned to the correct carrier.
• Load the UPS truck at the end of the shift.
• Move skids to the FedEx pick-up area.
• Process leftover box-on-demand material through the PacMaster and put it in bins for the Packing/Shipping department.
• Communicate with management or the team lead to ensure assigned duties are completed.
• Perform other future jobs or needs of the Packing/Shipping department.
