About The Position
UPM Adhesive Materials is looking for a Machine Operator for their team in Mills River, North Carolina. The role involves operating finishing and coating equipment safely to produce high-quality products, working across production areas with cross-training, monitoring product quality, supporting continuous improvement, and safely moving materials. The position is full-time, working 12-hour rotating shifts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Requirements
- Experienced in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to procedures
- Comfortable using computers and digital systems for data entry and reporting
- Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with different teams
- Open to cross-training and continuously improvement
Responsibilities
- Operate finishing and coating equipment safely to produce high-quality products that meet customer specifications
- Work across production areas and build skills through cross-training
- Monitor product quality and communicate safety or process concerns promptly
- Support continuous improvement and effective shift handovers
- Safely move materials and operate forklifts and reel movers as needed
