About The Position

The Material Handler operates equipment to sort, count, compact, and move empty beverage containers for recycling. The role processes and records container counts accurately while meeting productivity standards, identifies and reports maintenance needs, and keeps work and loading areas clean and organized. Dependable, punctual attendance is required.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent education.
Ability to work in a physical, fast-paced environment.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Dependable, punctual attendance.
Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job, including frequent lifting or carrying up to 30 pounds, occasional lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds, and frequent pushing or pulling of 50 pounds or more.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and conditions, and to use approved hearing protection in designated areas.

Work experience in a warehouse or production environment.

Responsibilities

Follow OSHA safety standards and OBRC policies, including requirements for personal protective equipment and Lock Out Tag Out.
Clean and maintain the work area and equipment to support a safe work environment.
Operate manual and electric pallet jacks and/or a tote stacker.
Safely load and unload trailers with totes, pallets, and other items as needed.
Load, unload, push, and maneuver full and empty product bag racks.
Lift and empty bags of beverage containers from racks into sorting or compactor equipment.
Complete data entry accurately and process beverage containers efficiently, including receiving and processing green bags.
Safely operate, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment and Redemption Center tools.
Escalate repair issues when necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned.
