About The Position

As a Host at Botanist, you are the first and last point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience. With a warm, genuine approach and impeccable attention to detail, you will create a welcoming atmosphere while managing reservations and guest flow in a fast-paced, world-class environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a host or guest-facing role, preferably in a high-end restaurant or hotel
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-oriented under pressure
  • High attention to detail and a passion for guest service
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Serving It Right certification
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with reservation systems (e.g., OpenTable) is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests with warmth, professionalism, and a genuine sense of hospitality
  • Manage reservations, seating plans, and guest flow to ensure a seamless dining experience
  • Maintain strong communication with the service team to support smooth operations
  • Anticipate guest needs and personalize interactions to create memorable experiences
  • Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and feedback with care and professionalism
  • Maintain an organized and polished host stand and reception area
  • Support the team during peak service times and special events
  • Uphold Forbes Five-Star service standards in all guest interactions
  • Other duties assigned
