About The Position

The BOSS (Buy Online Ship from Store) process improves the customer shopping experience by using inventory across retail locations to find and fulfill products. The BOSS Fulfillment Outfitter fills BOSS orders and handles sorting, picking, packing, and loading merchandise for shipment to direct customers and retail stores. Merchandise must be handled in a way that preserves its quality and appearance.

This role performs back-room functions including receiving and inspecting merchandise, filling orders, and preparing merchandise for shipment. The employee may spend most of their time in one area but must be knowledgeable and experienced enough to work across multiple functions as needed. During store hours, the role may also involve helping customers on the sales floor.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• 0–2 years of experience.
• Ability to follow through on order processing, including properly closing orders in the BOSS system.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, co-workers, and customers.
• Ability to read label descriptions and stock merchandise by UPC codes.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Able to operate receiving equipment.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect merchandise, fill orders, and sort and pack merchandise in appropriate containers for shipment.
• Sort merchandise into order groupings and pack it using proper containers, cartons, or packaging; apply designated labels and inspect product quality and presentation.
• Fill retail and direct customer orders by inspecting merchandise, matching it to orders, and pulling it from designated stock locations.
• Move merchandise among warehouse locations using authorized material-handling equipment or manually load and unload trailers.
• Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness and follow safe-work procedures.
• Attend mandatory training and in-services, including orientation, safety, and job-skills training.
• Assist customers in finding merchandise and making buying decisions when working on the sales floor.
• Communicate issues affecting job execution, including short picks, out-of-stocks, on-hand counts, and supply needs.
• Process orders through to properly closing them in the BOSS system.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
