About The Position

This is a student employment position for Boomer the Bobcat Mascot, available for Fall 2026. The role is within the Marketing and Communications department and is open to both Federal Work-Study and Non-Federal Work-Study students. The mascot will attend and participate in various university events, including Admissions events like Open Houses and Admitted Student Experience, as well as select department events. Responsibilities include engaging with prospective students and parents through photos and participating in social media content creation.

• Enthusiastic about representing Quinnipiac
• Ability to shoot photos/videos
• Height requirement 5’6” or taller to ensure best fit in the Boomer costume
• For health and safety, candidate must be physically active or have cardio endurance to wear a fur costume
• Highly organized, detail-oriented and reliable

Responsibilities

• Attend and participate in Admissions events including Open Houses, Admitted Student Experience
• Attend and participate in university-wide events as Boomer
• Attend and participate in select department events as Boomer
• Participate in photos with prospective students and parents
• Participate in social media video and photo shoots as Boomer, as needed
