The job involves physical activity, including prolonged standing, repetitive bending, lifting, and extensive walking. Booksellers may also work in other stores when able and when needed to support the wider Cluster. As they gain experience, they build knowledge of books and other store categories, maintain sections and backstock, recommend books, and support sales objectives. Employees who master the role’s skills are expected to advance to Senior Bookseller. Employees must comply with company policies and procedures.
