About The Position

Lift Business Resources is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join its remote team. The position requires a strong background in both nonprofit and corporate bookkeeping, along with advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable managing multiple client accounts independently while providing accurate, timely, and professional support. This part-time position is remote and limited to residents of Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, or North Carolina. Hours vary based on client needs. Compensation is $28–$35 per hour, based on experience.

Requirements

Professional bookkeeping experience in both nonprofit and corporate environments.
Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
Strong understanding of nonprofit accounting, including fund accounting and grant tracking.
Experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, and general ledger management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple clients, and meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor certification.
Experience supporting multiple clients in an outsourced bookkeeping environment.
Experience with bookkeeping cleanup and process improvements.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for nonprofit and corporate clients.
Maintain accurate financial records, general ledgers, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
Prepare monthly financial statements and reports.
Support budgeting, month-end closing, and financial reporting.
Identify and resolve discrepancies to ensure accurate financial records.
Communicate directly with clients and coordinate with accounting professionals as needed.
