About The Position

Our client is a well-established $25 million custom fabrication and manufacturing company seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead its day-to-day accounting function. This is a hands-on opportunity for a manufacturing accounting professional who enjoys partnering with operations, improving processes, and contributing to the long-term success of the business. The company is actively engaged in succession planning and is looking for someone who wants to grow with the organization. This is not a traditional corporate accounting role. The ideal candidate has a strong background in manufacturing accounting, including cost accounting, managerial accounting, inventory, job costing, and work-in-process (WIP). Experience supporting a custom fabrication or discrete manufacturing environment is highly preferred.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
10+ years of accounting experience with a strong manufacturing background.
Extensive experience in cost accounting and managerial accounting.
Hands-on leadership style with excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Epicor ERP is strongly preferred.
Experience supporting a custom fabrication or discrete manufacturing environment is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and month-end close.
Manage manufacturing accounting activities, including inventory, job costing, cost analysis, and financial reporting while partnering with operations to improve profitability and business performance.
Develop and improve accounting processes, strengthen internal controls, and provide financial insight to support strategic decision-making.
