About The Position

We are currently looking for a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper / Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable Administrator to join our team in Hobart, Indiana. This role is essential to our daily financial operations, involving the management of accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, payment processing, and meticulous record-keeping. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, accurate, and adept at managing confidential financial information in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.

Requirements

• Previous bookkeeping, accounting, or financial administration experience required
• Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and financial processes
• Proficiency with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
• Strong Microsoft Excel and computer skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable and collect outstanding customer balances
• Process accounts payable, invoices, and vendor payments
• Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts
• Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate bookkeeping records
• Prepare and issue customer invoices
• Monitor payment schedules and follow up on overdue accounts
• Maintain vendor files and payment records
• Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting
• Ensure accuracy of financial data and documentation
• Generate financial reports and assist management with accounting functions
• Maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems
• Support payroll and other administrative accounting tasks as needed
