About The Position

This position involves operating a Bonder machine to produce friction plates. The role requires attention to detail in setting up the machine, monitoring production, inspecting parts, and maintaining records. The operator will work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision and must adhere to safety and quality standards. Candidates will be offered positions based on interviews, testing, seniority, skill, ability, and work history. Shift preference is determined annually.

Requirements

  • Perform Set Up Validation ensuring Bonder is set up correctly for production run.
  • Make sure that the Bonder is clean of debris.
  • Load components into feeder magazines and ensure the magazine is always replenished for production run.
  • Understand the function of the bonding operation.
  • Perform WinSPC checks and place entries into the computer system.
  • Inspect parts for any deformities with the part.
  • Separate all questionable material and place this material in the scrap container or DMR as appropriate.
  • Report any quality issues to the Team Leader or their designate.
  • Comply with process standards.
  • Maintain required production and scrap records.
  • Report any production inefficiencies to the team leader or Supervisor.
  • Identify and investigate unusual problems and determine the nature of part defects.
  • Report any issues to the technician or team lead to have issues corrected.
  • Identify interruptions in the machine, clear faults, and restart the machine as needed.
  • Shrinkwrap and pack completed friction plates as specified, noting clock # on each stack.
  • Follow safety rules and keep the work area in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Act and perform duties in a manner that is conducive to a professional, productive, and team-oriented environment.
  • Work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
