About The Position

The Office of Finance is looking for a dedicated Accountant (Bond Accountant 2) who will prepare schedules to support financial statement numbers for assigned bond series, prepare financial statements for assigned bond series, pay disbursements related to bond issues, Single-Family expenses & preparing trustee & banking partner letters for investment purchases. This role will also maintain a database for trustee extract files & transactions, interest rates on variable rate bonds & swaps, bond paydowns & investment purchases. Additionally, the Bond Accountant 2 will prepare reports used by the group, such as month-end reports from US Bank, investment & bond balance totals, and remarketing & liquidity contract information. Requirements

  • 36 months training or 36 months experience in accounting.
  • OR completion of undergraduate core program in accounting, finance, economics, business administration or public administration; AND 12 months training or 12 months experience in accounting.
  • OR equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
  • Knowledge of & experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) accounting
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Skills in critical thinking, detail oriented & organization
  • Ability to multi-task & work independently as part of a diverse team of financial professionals

Responsibilities
