About The Position

The Office of Finance is looking for a dedicated Accountant (Bond Accountant Coordinator). This position will be filled in accordance with the Ohio Civil Service Employees Association (OCSEA) contract. If we are not successful in filling the position with a qualified, internal bargaining unit member, other applicants will be considered. At that time, preference will be given to those candidates who possess experience with bonds payable. Employees in this position are required to come to OHFA's offices which are located at 2600 Corporate Exchange Drive, Columbus, OH 43231. The State of Ohio is a drug-free workplace which prohibits the use of marijuana (recreational marijuana/non-medical cannabis). Requirements

  • Completion of undergraduate core program in accounting, finance, economics, business administration or public administration; AND 24 months training or 24 months experience in accounting; AND 12 months training or 12 months experience in employee training and development. OR 48 months training or 48 months experience in accounting; AND 12 months training or 12 months experience in employee training and development. OR equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.

Responsibilities

  • Create accounting spreadsheets from bond documents
  • Create & explain financial statements & financial reports
  • Provide direction & training to other accountants
  • Locate errors & correct problems in accounting spreadsheets
